Welcome To My Blog

Thank you for visiting my blog. I hope you find what is discussed here educational and entertaining. If you take away one thing from this blog that expands your knowledge or at least brightens your day, then I have done my job. I am always open to discuss just about any topic, even if I don't have the slightest clue about it. In that case, I will do my research and let you know. I will forever be grateful for my experiences in life and my capacity to share them with others.

I'm weird and the sky is falling!

Ok, so in this day and time, it is imperative to stand up and demand to eat the best and avoid chemicals at all costs. Yes, eating this way is not cheap, but eliminating other unnecessary expenses is a must to live a healthy life.  The other night, I went out with some folks to have dinner. They ate bread and other stuff. When it came time for dessert, I opted out. I watched as they consumed a plate full of chocolate cake (2 HUGE slices), 2 mounds of ice cream, and covered with whipped cream. I would fail to guess this caloric intake, but I'm wildly guessing 3,000+ calories. I was horrified. This is after drinking sweet tea and downing an entire loaf of bread covered with butter and eating greasy fries and ribs!! I would rather die than eat this.

On a daily basis, I see chronically ill patients who suffer with Diabetes, High Cholesterol, Hypertension, Neuropathy, Chronic pain, and all kinds of problems. When you see people who are so sick and inflammed, it will wake you up to the possibilities of your future. Life is too short to be full of gluttony and short term oral satisfaction to later suffer a miserable, restricted existence that is filled with regret and hopeless hope, due to extended health negligence and irreparable damage.  I always ask 'do you live to eat?' Or 'do you eat to live?' Life is a bunch of choices and it is about being mindful and selective vs. unconscious and lazy.

I choose to be the weird one who is going against the modern American way. I choose foods that do not have gluten, sugar, high fructose corn syrup, and dairy. I choose to see the latter part of my life filled with activity and enjoyment with my daughter vs. sitting on a chair and not being able to engage and enjoy. I choose having a body that adequately sized vs. being obese. So, I'll take the organic, non-GMO, gluten free menu. Thank you!
